”This achievement reflects the city’s commitment to ensuring the safety of women and children from all forms of violence. We will continue to fight elements that threaten the welfare of women and children,” Mayor Nancy Binay said on Thursday, speaking in Filipino.
DILG Regional Director Maria Lourdes Agustin commended Makati for implementing programs that prevent trafficking, protect women and promote child safety.
The assessment covered four indicators: Organization (10 percent), Meetings (10 percent), Policies, Plans and Budget (30 percent), and Accomplishments (50 percent). Makati scored perfectly in Meetings with 12 points, nearly perfectly in Accomplishments with 54 out of 56, and high marks in Policies, Plans and Budget with 27 out of 30.
